Become A Member
We're so glad you're considering becoming a member of Family Life! We welcome you and hope you find a church home here. We encourage everyone who considers themselves members of Family Life to educate themselves about our history and our beliefs, and we encourage you to find a ministry to serve in. We offer 4 classes to do these things:
Class 101Our church presents to each member a core curriculum of spiritual training, outlining the framework of a believer's life. Class 101 is our Membership Class, and it is time well-spent. In 101 we tell our story, who we are and how Family Life came about. We share awesome stories of what God has done in our church in these 15 years. We make sure each new member knows what our passion is. We present our Vision, our Mission, our Beliefs and Core Values. And we always make sure our group knows how to begin their spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. Class 101 is essential for those who desire to be members of our church. At the end of the class we present a Commitment Card to each person. By signing the card and certifying their faith in Christ and commitment to our church, they become members. Class 101 is always a time of victory and celebration!
Class 201
This class is the next step after the Membership Class (101). The key focus of this class is Maturity. We want those who come into our church to know the key habits that will help them grow in the Lord. First we share an ideal approach to studying the Bible. Follow this process and you will be amazed by what you learn. Next we teach the four key spiritual practices that will bring maturity. We base this teaching on principles that are found in the Word of God. At the end of the class each person has the option to commit to making these four practices a regular part of their life. Class 201 is awesome, it produces men and women of God!
Class 301
Everyone wants to fit in, find their niche, belong. Class 301 tells us how. This class is all about ministry - your ministry, your place to serve. We help each believer find their spiritual S.H.A.P.E. By knowing how God has shaped you and what He has done in your life, you will know where you fit in. In the end, every person is able to serve where they want to serve and where they best use their gifts and experiences. With the many ministries available, a person may learn in 301 that they should help in the landscaping, work with children, take meals to shut-ins, help in the office, lead a Life Group, or any of a number of other activities. Class 301 is absolutely life-changing!
Class 401
Once a person has joined our church, began to grow spiritually, and found their nice in ministry, they are ready for 401. This class is about reaching others for Christ. We teach you how to know your story - the story of how you came to Christ. And you learn how to adapt that story to a person at a time of crisis when they are searching for God. You will learn that you already have a "fishing pond" that you can find people in to lead them to Christ. And you learn how to share your story simply and briefly. There is also another focus in 401 - Missions. We want you to be a "World-Class Christian," by having a heart for all people everywhere. Those who take this Class find that they are ready to bring others into the kingdom of God. It's an exhilarating feeling - we get to help change eternity!
